During
the period of 2001- 2002 the organization provided the necessary
equipment- spacious building with surface more than 1000 square meters on
the land of 18 000 square meters, located in the town of Trastenik.
Renovation took place according to EU standards and based on the
experience of countries with long established traditions in the sphere of
palliative care / bright rooms painted in warm colors, lots of flowers,
paintings, comfortable conditions/ On
a special programme of the National Centre of Oncology Sofia we trained
the personnel to work at the medical establishment: higher health – 4
doctors; 8 medical nurses, and 14 hospital attendants. The management team
in the face of the Hospice Manager doctor Nedyu Georgiev and Daniela
Andreeva – Executive Director passed a training course in palliative
