Hospice HOPE – Trastenik is located at 16 km distance from Pleven . The settlement has very good transport infrastructure – there is bus transport on every hour. At the medical establishment there is a team of highly qualified physicians, rehabilitation therapist, social worker, psychologist, clergyman, and administrative staff. For the good patients’ care it is appointed a well trained team of nurses and hospital attendants.

Since autumn 2005 the medical establishment has been used as a training base of students BA and MA at the Faculty of Public Health at Medical University of Pleven.

On two floors at the hospice there are situated:

Lodging: with capacity for accommodation of 40 patients. Every room is for two patients and has all necessary for twenty-four-hour medical care.  In the hospice there are four self-contained premises with own sanitary room, cable TV in each room, differentiated rooms for the patient’s relatives; independent space for: conversations, relax and spiritual communication, library, audio and TV part.

Medical Sector with up-to-date equipped consulting room and manipulation room, office for the health staff on duty, pain control centre, rehabilitation and physiotherapy sector, centre for psycho emotional support.

Park area – to the building it is belonging 18 decares of vast park with pine forest suitable for walk and relax. It is silent and tranquil all day long.

All of the above mentioned and the proximity to the town of Pleven , in experts’ and specialists’ in the area of hospice care opinion, is an optimal choice for the region for the establishment of such a type of health place.
